It's a Race to the Finish as we get ready to enjoy a great weekend of Rotary celebration with Alabama Rotary Districts 6860 & 6880!

District 6860 and District 6880 will be gathering Rotarians from the top to the bottom of Alabama to celebrate our year in Rotary together this year. Don't miss out on this event!

Beginning on Thursday at 8:00 am, we'll be offering Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) Part II & Part III. For those of you who've taken RLI Part I, or Part II, this will be chance to progress forward in your Rotary Leadership skill!

You need to register for RLI separately at www.hoa-rli.org

 

mcarusoFriday will begin with an opportunity to hear nationally known speaker Angelo Caruso. Michael educates and entertains, drawing on a previous career in the telecommunications industry and a decade as a professional musician. You'll be inspired by is message!

Later that morning you'll get to hear from Rotary International President’s Representative Wade Namura.

barfootAfter Mr. Namura, polio survivors Dr. Susan Barfoot and Ralph Adams will share their own unique and inspiring stories of survival with us.

During the lunch break, you'll be excited to hear the story of the Four Way Test from Al Mathis, the grandson of Herbert J. Taylor who is the author of The 4Way Test.

BhamZoo

Later that afternoon, experience an enchanting Zoo Event for Rotarians and family members! Enjoy an exciting by some of the Birmingham Zoo's educational ambassador residents. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served up along with some good ole fashioned Rotary fun!

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Saturday, get ready for A REALLY FUN RUN! 

Distance: .05 K Run
Start Time: 6:30 am
Start line : Hotel Entrance  
No pre Registration Required.
Entry Fee: .05 or whatever you can afford 
Finish Line includes Blue Power Aide, Yellow SD, Red BM and Krispy Creme Donuts.
All participants will receive a pre loved T Shirt
All proceeds go to Polio Plus. 

Then the morning conference activities proceed with a message from Vice Chair of the Rotary Trustees, Ken Schuppert and an RI update from RI Representative Wade Namura

Next we'll hear from another inspiring polio survivor, Isabel Scarinci who is also a Rotarian and a medical researcher.

ASCCA

Then we'll close out the morning with a Service Project for Camp ASCCA.

Take some time to relax Saturday afternoon, and gather back for dinner where we'll enjoy a great meal and fellowship while we listen to a message from Past Rotary International President John Germ.




Blue Cats

After dinner, we'll enjoy music and dancing with the music of the Blue Cats: A Great 70's Dance/ Rhythm and Blues Band that performs all the hits with two great horn players that add another dimension to the art of live music!
