Memories from the 2010 District Conference Rotarians from District 6880 enjoyed the 2010 District Conference on the Carnival Cruise Ship Fantasy! Even though many of them were challenged by the waves rocking the boat at times, they all managed to make a good time of it. Photos of their escapades and some video of the conference itself will be available soon online! Stay tuned!

Getting your club on the District website

community-iconDid you know that the District 6880 website offers your club, and you as a Rotarian, many opportunities to promote your club, its events and accomplishments, as well as opportunities to network with other Rotarians and clubs in the District? All this is part of what your club's district dues pay for, so be sure you are taking advantage of each of these opportunites! Get your money's worth from your District and improve the service of your club to the community, and your service to your club!

  • The first step is to create an account with the rotary6880.org website. In the upper right hand corner of the site, there is a log-in link. If you don't already have an account, you'll see a link to create a new account. Fill out this information and the system will attempt to validate your information. You will recieve an email to verify that your email address is valid. Once you have responded to this email, the webmaster will check to be sure you are in the RI registry and that your basic info is correct. Once verified, you'll be able to log in to the system and take advantage of all the options below!
Should you have problems, email the webmaster at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Once your account is approved and you are able to log in, go to the community section and edit your profile to make sure all your information is complete and accurate. This is important so that other Rotarians will be able to connnect to you on as many levels as possible. Your profile information is only visible to members of the rotary6880 website, and only members of Rotary clubs in District 6880 are approved for membership. Even so, use discretion and only post information that you would be willing to divulge at a rotary club meeting or similar event.
  • After setting up your account profile, be sure to check out the Groups area and join one of interest to you, or create one of your own if you like! Groups are a great way to collaborate with other Rotarians in the district on specific Rotary activities or ideas/concepts. But they don't have to be Rotary related! If you want to start a group about any idea or concept, feel free to do so. Just keep it family friendly.
  • Next, check out the Events section of the Calendar and set up your club's recurring meeting time and place. You can follow the directions there to set this up.
  • Lastly, check out the forum. This is setup so you can have open discussion on a number of topics. Directions are included there.
