2008 World Affairs Youth Seminar
Auburn University and the Lee County Sunrise Rotary Club have co-sponsored the World Affairs Youth Seminar for the past 22 years.  Each year Rotary Clubs from across the Southeast sponsor deserving high school students to attend the camp.

World Affairs is an intensive, one-week program conducted on the Auburn University Campus. Most past participants have received full scholarships to attend from their local Rotary Clubs. This year we invite Rotary Clubs to support this effort by sponsoring World Affairs Youth Scholarships for $449 apiece. Each scholarship will provide a well-qualified student with instruction, housing, meals, and recreational activities for the entire week.

If your Rotary Club has a qualified student from your local area who would like to attend, you may designate that student for your scholarship. If, not, Auburn University will seek qualified recipients and advise you of the student selected. Whether you designate the student or you sponsor some other applicant, you will be helping the youth of today be better prepared to promote peace for tomorrow! It is all in the best spirit of the Rotary International purpose!

Thank you!

For information on sponsorship, call Claire Twardy at 334.844.5100 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for further information.

See the Stars!

image003.jpgDo you want to really be TURNED ON FOR ROTARY? If so, plan NOW to attend the Rotary International Convention in Los Angeles, California from June 15 to the 18th, 2008. I have attended several International Conventions since becoming a Rotarian. They are inspirational, informative and a lot of fun. These Conventions are for all Rotarians - not just the officers, although I feel every incoming President for 2008-2009 should attend.
