Great visit with our Tallassee Rotary Club today. Yes, you can tell it is summertime in Alabama!! Lots of good plans were laid out for next year. Grow Rotary!
There's no denying Harvard is the source of some stellar graduates. Now consider the fact that the student body of Harvard College is larger than the population of Dalton Brunson’s hometown of Jackson, Alabama!
Dalton grew up intending to go into business. In his eyes, bankers were the people who had it made. But then his grandmother became ill and that’s what influenced him toward medicine. As a former Interactor and a RYLA alumni, Dalton Brunson, originally from Jackson, Alabama, was a mentee of Rotarian Steve James, a member of the Jackson Rotary club. The Rotary District 6880 Steve James Youth Service Award was established in 2015 in honor of Steve, who had an unfailing commitment to Rotary and most especially to young people like the future Dr. Dalton Brunson.

Talk about the little club that could!
I had the pleasure of speaking to the Rotary Club of Tuskegee. The summer place for Paul Harris, Founder of Rotary International. President Jeff Cardin and members welcomed me and gave us the grand tour of this 1940 era gas station turned Rotary home for the club. Rotarian Tom Wadsworth says there is still much they want to do here.
