Bob Callahan joined the Rotary Club of Fairhope in 1989. He served the Fairhope Club as its President in 2008-2009. Bob has served District 6880 as an assistant governor from 2009-2011 and as co-annual giving chairperson in 2010-2011.

Bob is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. He is passionate about water and sanitation projects and has actively participated in many water purification projects in Latin America. In 2011 Bob received Rotary’s “Service Above Self Award”.

For more than 30 years Bob has enjoyed a career in the technology field as an independent telecommunications consultant.

Bob has served his home community in many volunteer roles. He has held board positions in numerous youth service organizations, served on the board of Catholic Social Services, and has been appointed to a variety of city committees. He was elected to the Baldwin County Board of Education in 2002 and re-elected in 2008.

Bob and his wife Maria have three grown sons and three grandsons.
